چکیده

Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect disease on quality life (QoL) in patients with not operated symptomatic hallux valgus (HV) and relationship between degree deformity classified by radiological parameters QoL. Methods: In prospective study, 100 (33 males, 67 females; mean age 49.25 ± 15.20 years; range 18 75 years) who were admitted our institution diagnosed HV March 2019 February 2020 included. Hallux angle (HVA) intermetatarsal (IMA) used assess deformity. Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Foot Function Index (FFI), 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36) instruments evaluate patients. Results: severity HVA associated SF-36 scores for physical health, social functioning, bodily pain, general mental health (p < 0.05). Differences found degrees IMA A significant statistical correlation was observed pain VAS IMA. Higher FFI recorded from participants high However, no radiographic FFI. Conclusions: it shown that QoL decreased as increased addition, concluded a more basic predictor than evaluation

Comparing radiological examinations between hallux valgus night brace and a new dynamic orthosis for correction of the hallux valgus

Twenty feet were tested by radiological examination for correction of the hallux valgus. We used a conventional hallux valgus rigid night brace and a newly developed dynamic orthosis (Hallufix). The patients had a light to moderate hallux valgus with a mean angle of 28,8 degree. The results show statistically significant correction of the hallux valgus angle in both orthosis, whereas the new dy...

Gait parameters associated with hallux valgus: a systematic review

BACKGROUND Hallux valgus (HV) has been linked to functional disability and increased falls risk in older adults. However, specific gait alterations in individuals with HV are unclear. This systematic review investigated gait parameters associated with HV in otherwise healthy adults. METHODS Electronic databases (Medline, Embase, CINAHL) were searched to October 2011, including cross-sectional...

They are associated with valgus deviation of the great toe which moves towards the second toe. Hallux valgus is found in at least 2% of children aged 9 to 10 years, and almost half of adults, with greater prevalence in women. METHODS AND OUTCOMES: We conducted a systematic review and ai...

Radiological Characteristics and Anatomical Risk Factors in the Evaluation of Hallux Valgus in Chinese Adults

BACKGROUND There are no unified theories as to the anatomical changes that occur with hallux valgus, we investigated the radiological characteristics and anatomical risk factors for hallux valgus deformity in Chinese adults. METHODS We reviewed 141 patients with hallux valgus (206 feet; 15 males, 126 females; mean age, 58.5 years). These patients attended Peking University People's Hospital f...
